hey, just to give a quick update as to how the project knew groove fest went…
i showed up right in the middle of something left unsaid’s set, man it was great timing. as usual they put on a great show, very intense, very crisp. i was stoked to see them, even for just a few songs. i did pick up a copy of their debut ep, in memory of blood, which has been out for a number of months now, but i will be reviewing sometime this week (im just listening to it for the first time now). the rest of the fest was good in terms of quality, but not really my cup of tea, a few hip hop acts, some dubstep, a reggae band, but then mr saturday. he pulled out some sweet dance grooves, but unfortunately got cut kinda short. oh well, as he said, “better to leave ’em wanting more”.
one other thing is that i also will be posting a review of shuteye unison’s new cd, our future selves, which i mentioned in the last opl review. well peace.
